We purchased our front load washer in Nov. of 2000, with-in 2 months it set the fire alarms off on the main floor. There was an acrid smelling smoke from whatever it was that burnt. Maytag wanted to fix the machine by putting a new circut board in, but I refused saying that the washer sat between my bedroom and my children's rooms. They did replace the machine, which I greatly appreciated. Since then with a new machine we have replaced the door latch and circut board in 2003. I have also experience black mold in the inside of seal and wipe the seal out every other day with my used dryer sheets,(they were handy, already used, and small enough to fit between the seal and tub and wouldn't tear like a paper towel would.) I use bleach only limited because we have white rust in our water and will turn whites yellow, so I can only use it on socks and such. I don't use HE soap, but have found if I cut my soap IN HALF, add half water to it helps. My 13 year old daughter is extremely allergic to molds and has had repeated bouts of pnuemonia. I would like to know if anyone has tested the mold to see what kind of mold was grown. As for the "Trained by Factory post", what an insult you are. To us as consumers and to your company you represent!!
