A circuit breaker tripped to our kitchen lights, everything else that is on that breaker wasn't even on or being used. Now the breaker won't even turn back on, even if we turn off everything on the breaker then turn it on it still clicks back to OFF. Is this a possible fix it yourself or is this major. We think the previous owners did their own wiring and had one too many things so just hooked it up anyway! So long as my husband doesn't mind the kitchen in the dark it will stay that way! This is what's on the breaker - Kitchen ceiling fan with lights (on a dimmer never use dimmer or the fan, just the lights), powder room light, cabinet mounted microwave that we never use because it trips the breaker, lights to the back yard, garage light and garage door opener and light at the bottom of the basement stairs.
Any response would be welcome. Thanks.
