Disposal depends upon the local regulations. Call you municipal waste disposal or landfill agency for advice. In tile, asbestos can be found in the tile itself and/or the mastic holding it down. In these cases, the asbestos is usually classified as "non friable" meaning that it is not easily made airborn an is relatively safe to handle. In many areas you can remove and dispose of the material yourself. If so, you must properly bag the debris and notify the disposal site of the contents. Always wear a breathing mask and proper clothing. Again, contact the local authorities for regulations affecting you.
