I want something I can put OVER gravel. Roll rubber maybe? Obviously the gravel would peirce asphalt paper too easily just from the weight of the asphalt itself under the heat of the sun when it softens the asphalt... not to mention if someone had to walk on it to do work up there. So I am hoping there is a 1/4" thick roll rubber I can use so we need not scrape off 2 hard layers of cracked tar and gravel. Think it would work?
It's the rainy season now and the house is inhabited, so we can not strip the roof. We HAVE to cover over. Besides, the house is being torn down in 5 years or so anyway. We just want them to be a dry 5 years.
