Need advice on propane wall heater-no outside wall available

Help! After five heat free years in my mountain cabin, I am finally converting my home to propane. We have regualar power outages in the winter, and the wood stove is not cutting it.

I've looked all over on line at propane wall heaters, and the issue is that the ventless ones (neat-o!) are not legal here in CA. I have a small 600 foot home, and no outside walls without a window. In order to vent, I understand the heater would need to be away from a window.

I also have a loft and 12 foot ceilings, so have a tough time figuring how I could place a ceiling vent. There is one wall that has about a 2 ft span with only 6 in of front clearance width wise. Does anyone have any ideas for heaters that would fit AND be legal in CA?
