I set up the J-box in the attic myself. It is the original wiring that use to lead to the single switch light circuit to the room prior to me installing the ceiling fan and 4 wire system. The wire that power the J-box is a three wire lead (Black, White, Ground). The connections within the J-box to the switches is as follows. Red and Back are connected to J-Box Black, White to White and Ground to Ground. I did not connect white and ground togther in the switch box. I simply connected all the white wires together without connecting them to a switch did the same to the gound wires. White and ground are seperate circuits.
