why not get out the grinder, dig down a few inches, cut the sucker off, cover it back up, plant some new seed and be finished with it? I mean unless you are wanting to put a garden in that spot.
Sounds pretty simple to me....????? But, I'm just a redneck, country truckdriver and mommie to 6, so....
