you need to adjust the springs so that the door will stay in position when opened 1/2 way up with the opener disengaged from the door. if you have torsion springs (mounted abobe the door) you need to hire a pro to adjust them. if you have tension springs (mounted parallel to track) adjust by opening door, then adjust the cables that hold the end of the spring. also, spray the rollers and the track with silicon spray lube.
