EdF, I'm sure you'll get a lot of different answers BUT the 'real' answer lies in how the fence is cared for. Mother Nature is gonna affect any estimate as well as you (or a contractor) deciding to 'wait one more year' to re-do the fence. Sooo, factoring in all those, the answer can vary. You didn't ask but I'd like to make a suggestion. A stockade-type fence will 'block' a view and help with sound depression. I'd like to suggest that if the road isn't a busy one and if the house is a decent distance from the road, consider a simple post and rail fence. You know, kinda like the ones that keep horses corralled. I'd suggest no more than 3 rails between each post. This way, your lot 'looks' bigger than it really is. By 'boxing' it in with a 'solid' fence, the lot will look a lot smaller. My best to ya and hope this helps. Jay J
