prefab houses in Switzerland Posted by Betty Kerins on February 8th, 1998 03:41 PM In reply to Prefab houses in Switzerland by Louise Mclennan on February 1st, 1998 02:34 PM [Go to top of thread]
I am a senior with a handicap and thinking of a ranch type house with 3 bedrooms, laundry all on one floor. Presently I live in a 2 story townouse + basement and cannot go the stairs. We put in a chairlift. I have a request to Bob for information pertaining a washer-dryer unit. Then I would never have to go to the basement. I have a summer home and have to make adjustments there. It is a cape and all the livable rooms are on the first floor. That would be a good project for Bob. We have put in all new windows, wiring, plumbing new insulation and that is as far as we got last year. We thought about drywalling all the rooms with the exception of the livingroom which is pine. The upper floor could be made into a master suit with a bath. The roof would have to be expanded unless there is someway to put in a small facility. There would only be the need of a shower (no tub since I can't use it anyhow). I think I have told you enough about my special needs..any suggestions other than starting from scratch.. that is why I was interested in the house in Switzerland, the lines looked clean and easy to keep. Thak you, Betty Kerins
