The Homeowners Association where I live in Southern California recently sent out a newsletter which bans using staples to hang outside Christmas lights to our wood frame home. I have been using a staple gun for years and cannot see any valid reason to ban homeowners from using this method. I was hoping you could help defend my stand by providing me with your educated and expert advice in this matter. Are there any dangers and or damage that can be caused by using a staple gun to adhere strings of christmas lights to the outside of my wood frame home ? Or in your opnion is there any valid reason to ban stapling lights to your frame home?
