A finishing nailer is not the same as a brad nailer, and both serve two different purposes. A brad nailer is not suitable for most trim work in home construction. It is more suitable for holding assemblies together while glue dries, such as in cabinet and furniture construction. While a framing nailer uses larger (diameter/length) nails for installing baseboard, crown molding, casing, etc.
