an oxy acetylene torch is not very usefull on cast as it burns rather than melts the material preventing using the blow as in cutting steel. the best method is to use a saws-all with a course tooth metal cutting blade ran at slow speed and cooled with cutting oil. this would be very messy in a bathroom enviornment. I have found that a 8 pound hammer and a masons chisel works good as the chisel concentrates the force causing a stress crack to form in the cast. use an old chisel as the cast will dull a sharp chisel. in my opinion, breaking is the fastest way to go.
