I just purchased the transformer from Home Depot and I'm having to manually turn on the landscape lighting every night. It appears the photo cell that is attached is not working. The assistant manager at Home Depot tells me that this has been a big problem with this Hampton Bay transformer and thought it had been corrected, but apparently it hasn't.
