Hi there.
I'm looking to remove a ground floor chimney breast, leaving the 1st floor, attic and roof chimney intact.
The weight of the above chimney is obviously an issue and would need to be supported.
Could I simply support the remaining chimney weight be connecting a number of supporting beams from the wall to the joist?
Information revealing how this is done by the pros would be much appreciated.
