Preppy,
This is a problem encountered by altar guilds in churches that utilize candles in their services. I can recommend a product offered by C. M. Almy & Son, a nationally known church goods company. They sell a 4 fl. ounce bottle of "Almy Candle Wax Remover" that "dissolves candle wax on candlesticks, linens and vestments." You can call them at 1-800-225-2569 or visit their website at www.almy.com . If you go to their website, click on Sacristy Supplies and then click on Wax and Wine Stain Removers under the Cleaning and Care Supplies group. They also have an email address that you can use, "almyaccess@almy.com". It looks like they sell a package of four, 4 ounce bottles but check with them to see if they can sell a single bottle since the four bottle package is $35. Almy's webpage says their remover is good for all surfaces.
If this doesn't work out, I would suggest contacting a church supply company local to your area to see if they have a wax remover in stock that will work on the surfaces you mention. Be sure to mention your floor as some removers can affect the finish.
I hope this helps with your wax cleanup.
Good luck,
