It's old and I have had one repair in it's lifetime. I bought it in 1987 or 1988. The problem is that there is heat and the clothes do get dry but the dryer doesn't stop running. I've cleaned out lint but that's been a standard practice for me throughout the life of the dryer.
The dial stays where it is set when I start the drying. Every once in a while it will stop by itself but not often.
I'm on a fixed income and I can read directions so I'd rather try to fix it myself if that's possible.
