One method to speed up the weathering process of the new shingles would be to use a 1:1 clorox and water solution using a pump up sprayer. No need to rinse as the chlorine is quickly deactivated in sunlight.

The aged shingles will turn a buckskin tan color and will silver out in 4 to 6 weeks. The bleaching solution also hastens the graying effect of the new shingles. They will silver out a uniform cape cod gray in 4-6 weeks.
