We are going to refinish our oak kitchen cabinets. They have a dark stain, and I want to achieve an older, antique look--a stressed look... Can we do this by stripping off the varnish, painting them white and letting the stain bleed thru the paint?
Also, can you tell me the best product to use to easily strip off the varnish. Have you heard about something called a deglosser?
