Avacado Green Hardwick Stove; Where to Find Parts? Posted by wisteria456 on January 10th, 2005 12:18 AM
Heya,
I have this lovely avacado green Hardwick brand stove that has never worked properly since I've lived here. Short of buying a new stove (which I'm sure my landlord would love), I'd like to fix it.
The problem is that, to the best of my knowledge, this company is out of business. That being said, the companies that supposedly sell aftermarket type parts for this brand don't seem to recognize any of the numbers I found on the metal identification plate (the labels had all worn off, so I don't know which number is which). I'm very bummed.
Are there generic parts I can buy, or is there somewhere that specializes in stoves that existed during the Ford Administration?
I think what I need is a thermo-regulator (or similar), because my oven cannot maintain a constant temperature. The pilot is lit, the ignitor does work (when it feels the need), but something is not right because pre-heating the oven makes the whole house smell like gas.
Thanks in advance, and for taking the time to read this!! :) Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
