SystemLInk3...and the original TV that came with it ?

Hello,
A good friend of still has the original television that came with her system link 3 remote. Model number F20345. I've checked RCA's website, but there is no listing for this model TV(manufacture date September 1991). At any rate, she doesn't want to purchase a new TV, becuase the old still works, so can someone give me an idea about how to use the input-1 rca-inputs on the back? The tv doesn't talk to her new DVD player.
