I'm looking to put laminate (hardwood look-a-like) down and through a "L" shaped hallway. I know you are not supposed to run the planking wall to wall as that gives the "ladder effect". However since the hall pivots 90 degrees for the "L" shape how do you handle that other than pivot the installation. Depending on which flooring professional I talk to I get different answers. A few details...
1. The short leg of the "L" hallway is 5 feet wide where the long leg is only three feet wide.
2. The corner of the "L" passes through a doorway.
3. The wider portion of the hall is to an outside door and is brightly lit where the other section is all internal and more dimly lit.
Also, what is the tolerance for "flat". I was told 1/4 over six feet and also told 3/8 inch over 5 feet.
