Ceramic tile/door trim

Hi, I need some help ? I am puttingin a floor trim in door and the two floors are different, carpet to ceramic, the trim say to put the short end on carpet, and the holes are to be on top of ceramic, ok.. How do you drill ceramic with out cracking it?
