Dark paints, particularly reds, do not cover very well. I watched a pro crew apply a deep red Ralph Lauren paint in an industrial building on one wall as an accent. After the third coat, they said it was the best they could do.
I'd say your only hope is the let it cure a couple weeks and apply another coat. Roll it on in randoma directions to obliterate roller marks.
