I recently replaced an existing range hood that vents horizontally to the outside. A simple fan activated "flap" opens under air-flow when fan is utilized. Looking up through the filter I can clearly see the outdoors. When idle I am sure I am losing substantial amounts of heat to the outside. It falls well below freezing in my neck of the woods. My question is how can I create proper insulation from the outside in such a system. Is there insulated ducts on the market that provide a solution to my problem? Cold in the Kitchen, panders5
