Plumbing

My house's water system is fed from a well using 3/4" pipes. 3/4" pipes are ran throughout the house. My heating system is an Appollo system which uses the heated water from the propane 50gal hot water tank. I am adding an addition to the house that has a large jacuzzi tub and double shower. I was concerned with not having sufficient hot water, especially in winter.

Thus, I am wanting to add a tankless water heater to preheat the water coming into the hot water tank. The tankless water heater has a 1/2" inlet and 3/8" outlet.

Under heavy demand from showers, etc, I am concerned that the hot water tank may not remain full at all times. Is this a valid concern ? Is there a good solution ?
