We'll send an SOS for more of Lonny's help....

But.....OK you strapped the pipes in the basement but the noise still continues upstairs.......

It's easy to gain access to the pipes in the wall......just grab a hand saw and cut the wall or ceiling open.....the trick of course is to choose the exact correct spot to cut and then "invisibly" replace and finish the drywall.....easier said than done.......

How about the other side of the living room wall and the "other" side of the LR ceiling ?

A closet or hall is easier to disguise the repair than the main LR wall.....and you could pull back the carpet upstairs and cut access holes thru the floor/subfloor to fix those runs......

WHY IS IT VIBRATING ?........even after all that fastening work the root cause may still be there......Have you fixed/repaired ALL the faucets/shut-offs.......The washer(s)vibrate or even debris in the lines......

Was this plumbing installed by the "owner"......sometimes design/install defects can create similar problems......

Maybe opening a wall and cutting the pipe and installing "water hammer arrestors" is necessary........

Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
