I am in the process of replacing my linoleum floor. I have been advised by Home Depot that if I want the linoleum removed, I must get a receipt from an asbestos abatement firm indicating there is no asbestos in my flooring. The floor is approximately 20-22 years old. It is a high-gloss, no-wax linoleum. What are the odds there could be asbestos in this flooring. I would like to know if there is reason to be concerned before I remove it myself. Your expertise will be greatly appreciated.
