Being a Southener, I don't know much about ice dams.

I know about super glue. It is a clear, rapid-setting cyanoacrylate glue, generally sold in relatively small quantities. It comes in about 3 grades - thin, standard thickness, and gap-filling gel. I have never heard the term 'nail glue'. What is the context of 'nail glue'? It seems that you could be referring to perhaps yellow carpenter's glue or construction adhesive, two very different products.
