Ahhhrrrr!!!!
HELP!!!

I bought an old house 6 months ago that has a pretty old Volcano Furnace in it. This is our first winter (in Canada too!) and it's been a pain. I need some help with some things cause I don't fully understand how to do things.

Problem #1:
Some rooms heat while some others don't seem to at all (East side ggod, west side bad). The entrance and baby don't seem to heat much and I guess it's probably because there might be air in the pipes. But how do I purge them? There's a lttle metal nob on each coil but does that have anything to do with it? I think I must have 2 lines and I don't know how to purge them. At the coils in each room or at the furnace? I hear that there should be like a tire valve but where.
At the furnace, I see like 7 things that could be a value.. but it's confusing.
The pipes that are cold going to the furnace, there's two valve like things there, one seems to be to evacuate water under the foundation, and the one right before it, no idea. Then there's the hot pipes. There's the pump with a faucet close, then higher up I have the bigger pipes with 2 big valve like things but I can't seem to find a small button to push or something to let air out. To make things more complicated, the pipe going into our main bedroom makes a cracking noice when the furnace is working (I guess it's expanding) but it keeps cracking for 20mins or so and drives us crazy at night. It's right before it gets to the coils (under the floor). I guess that could also be because of air, but again, how do I bleed the air out?

If that's not bad enough, the motor that burns the oil inside the furnace is making a VERY loud vibrating noice that also wakes us up. I opened the "red" box to find the motor, but I ain't goin there ;) Going to call the furnace guy that I have coverage with but he can only probabyl fix the motor and not touch the coils in the rooms.

Man, I'm getting sick of this house and we just bought it. I'm a mr fix it, but at 30years old.. I don't know a 60 year old furnace :D

Thanks for ANY help guys.. I know nothing of this stuff.
