Ralph Lauren River Rock--so beautiful!!!!!

I feel like I have to put my 2 cents in since I gathered most of my advice on how to apply the River Rock paint from this Bob Vila site. My walls look PERFECT. I'm so excited and so proud. I put it on in sections, but I did not box off the sections...probably a little bigger than the recommended 28 inches. I staggered my boxes. I put the first coat on, and then moved my imaginary boxes over so I wouldn't have a big line. I used a brush, and not an edger, because in my opinion, the edger just makes lines that you will have to brush out. I masked off everything very well. I used the Ralph Lauren roller, and a high quality 2" angled brush. I edged in as I went, so the wet paint could blend together as opposed to edging the whole room first as I normally would with other paint. I put on 2 thick thick coats, and a third coat that I rolled out much thinner than the first two coats. I did not primer. I was super careful not to press down hard on the roller to avoid glopping the paint and making roller marks. I did the ceiling to floor sweep (overlapping) with all three coats. I ended up going through about 5 gallons of paint for a smallish family room, but I must say, it looks good. It took forever, and it was pricey, but worth it. Thanks for everyone's comments!!!!
