Bathroom subfloor

Posted by mrbbrc on February 1st, 2005 11:06 AM

I am in the process of replacing my entire bathroom subfloor. I ripped up all the old plywood down to the floor joists. I have used 1/2" treated ply for the first layer (which matched the thickness of the original 1st layer) and have put a layer of 3/4 treated ply on top of that. I intend to cover that with 1/4 luan and then use the Tavey thinskin subfloor and tile it. Has anyone ever used Tavey thinskin? Do I need the 1/4" luan or can i just lay the thin skin over the treated ply? Do I need to let the treated ply dry out before this?
