I have the frame of the oak Mission style bed my mother was born in in 1923. It is a double bed. I recently bought a full mattress and box springs. The box springs will not fit at all, and the mattress is a really tight fit. Is there a way to extend the rails? The rails hook into slots on the headboard and footboard. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
