Tin Backsplash Posted by juliessummers on February 9th, 2005 02:53 PM
We would like to install a tin backsplash in the kitchen. The problem is, there was tile in the location before, which we already removed. The drywall left behind was partially damaged after the tile was removed. Some adhesive from the tile was left behind etc....
The instructions for the tin material say that you should install on a flat surface. The wall is not in that bad a shape but is still not flat.
My question is: should we tear down the damaged drywall and replace with new drywall, nail plywood over the damaged wall or smooth the damaged wall with like joint compound and just work with that?
Thanks. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
