I'm curious to know if your washer is a front load or top load. Maytag is currently in a law suit. You can get more info by going on-line to www.maytag front load settlement.com I checked into it and all front load models are included. I have a top load and it is NOT included in the settlement - but should be. My laundry room has a constant stinch because of my washer! I've tried following the care and cleaning instructions in the manual with the bleach - but the problem comes back. Actually - it never really goes away. Lowes suggested trying baking soda too. I've never had a washer do this and I can't believe that a "top-of-the-line" expensive washer is so lousy. I'm even getting spots on my white clothes from the mildew. If you try calling Maytag you get an automated recording. This is so disappointing!
