I too didn't have any success at first at removing soap buildup on our shower door. I used CLR cleaner and a cloth that time. The second time around, I used CLR cleaner full srength and applied it with a STEEL WOOL (rub lightly, just enough pressure to get at the scum layer, not the glass). It worked great!!! Took only minutes to get rid of the scum on both glass panels.
