I hope someone can help me with this:

My GE washing machine (Model WJSE3110) started having a problem this week. When entering the spin cycle the machine would make a repetitve thumping noise and with each thump it's drawing enough power to make the light flicker in the room. The first couple of times I took the load out of the machine, then restarted and it was fine. Now it's doing this all the time. I'm semi-familiar with working on washing machines, my first thought is transmission, but I was also thinking clutch. I disconnected the drive belt and ran the machine and the motor seemd fin although every 5 seconds it makes a "click", but I think this is normal for the motor. Can someone please help me?

Thanks!
