fixing ship lap pine siding

I hired a co. to put up a garage and the siding has large (3/4") gaps in it.can this be caulked sucessfully? someone told me you could mix wood glue with sawdust and use that.underneath the siding is moisture wrap on the wall studs.The co. I hired has a arbitration agreement in the contract that protects them from any litigation (sturdy-built)so that really is not an option.
