I assume you have a gas fired forced air heating system,(by your post).You could add a electronic air cleaner onto your furnace. It mounts on the return air, just as it enters the blower compartment, and is energized only when the furnace fan is running. This electronic air cleaner will capture more dust, pollen, than ordinary furnace filters. With a doctor's letter prescribing this filter you might fore go paying sales tax in certain areas of the country. Installed around $450-$650.


You might want to install a heat recovery ventilator. (HRV) The stale air that is exhausted from your bathrooms, kitchen & laundry area preheat incoming cold air from outside. Installed price depending upon ducting and installation layout could be around $1500 - $2500.

Other items you may want to consider adding to your system is a bypass humidifier and or a UV Light.
