Stubborn Tub Stopper

Hi. I was hoping someone could help me. I am trying to unscrew a tub stopper. It's the type you push down on one side to close it, and push on the other side to open it. I have tried somewhat, to unscrew it counter clockwise very carfully, but the top just kind of skips. Like it isn't one piece. How can I get this thing off? Thanks. Bob Was this post helpful?
