I have a Kitchaid dishwasher and the wiring connection plastic cap melted causing a loose connection several months ago. I reconnected the wiring with a new plastic cap and electrical tape. I smelled an electrical burning today and reexamined the wiring and the plastic cap is again melting. I retaped the connection with electrical tape. Does anyone know if this will be OK or should I get ceramic electrical caps for this connection.
