Water softener timer problem!

Hello,
My water softener timer will not automatically regenerate. We lost power at our house last fall and the timer has not worked since. I can manually regenerate so I know the system works,and I can here the timer "humming" away, but the timer won't turn the softener on. I have a light commercial Hellenbrand system ( TS-90-1 w/2750 control valve ). The manual is very vauge in the troubleshooting of this problem, and I don't want to "mess" it up by trying to fix it without knowing what I'm doing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
