My wife and I are nearing retirement and are building a new home. Our plan is to have a wheelchair accessable shower built in. Both of us have the potential of back and leg surgery and problems and are trying to plan ahead. No one seems to know what we are talking about. We have a space of 48" wide by 6' deep. We had wanted a tiled shower room with no lip so a wheelchair could roll in and a bench seat on the end in the event that one could get out of the chair to sit and enjoy a refreshing shower. In NC, we are being told that we need a lip on the shower. Have you had the occasion to design such an animal. We have seen them in dream homes so I know they exist. I just cannot find any plans. Thanks for your help.
