What is the best fix for this water stained pine?

I recently purchased an A-frame cottage in northern Ontario.

At one point the roof leaked, and did some surface staining
to the interior pine boards.

What is the best fix for this water stained pine?

Do I sand it and treat it? (this would be a huge job with
the 40 foot ceiling of the A frame)

Is there a product that I can brush or spray on to lighten
up the wood, and then treat it?
