I had the opportunity to look at a known good Kenmore (Whirlpool) and I immideately saw the problem with mine. Apparently the triangular plate under the tub of my Kenmore had moved out of position. The points on the triangular plate must lign up with the three mounting points and therefore rest on the pads with the tub resting on that plate. I do not know how this plate was moved out of position, but if it is not aligned properly the washer will constantly be out of balance.
