Looking for some more guidance on how to fix the rotten spot in my bathroom between the tub and the toilet. I have a 1986 townhome with floor trusses (2x4's connected with metal bridging that sit 24"OC). The spot occurs at the wall between the bathroom and the kitchen - between joists. Does the new subfloor need to be installed into the kitchen (under the wall) or can I somehow sister these two together? Planning on removing the rotten parts and installing a new wax ring this weekend. Can anyone offer guidance or suggest a DIY book I can buy?
