Find the push button panel attached to the wall on the INSIDE of the garage next to the garage door. The keypad should be located OUTSIDE, very near this unit. All of them may be different, but you'll need to find a switch on this little panel that switches from OPERATE to PROGRAM. It will not be out in plain view. You may have to remove the unit and look at the back or you may remove a little panel from the front (as I did). Once you find the switch, flip it to PROGRAM and then enter the code of your choice on the keypad. Once you've entered the code, flip the switch back to OPERATE. Now, enter your new code again and it should operate the door.
