I am a little uncertain what you want to do? Is your main goal removing an interior wall, or just to move an outlet in the wall? If your plans are to remove the wall and you just want to know what to do about an outlet in that wall, you can 1. turn off breaker serving the outlet (verify by plugging in a light), 2. take off cover plate, unscrew receptical & pull out, 3. disconnect wires, 4. clip uninsulated ends and tape ends of black & white wires, 5. strip drywall from wall, 6. remove staples from sheathed electrical cable and pull cable into attic, 7. nail junction box on ceiling joist and run cable into it, 8. clamp cable in box and screw cover on. You are done with the electrical part of this project. Now continue with your wall demo.
