thiggy is correct that the manure is not much of a health risk. Part of the reason for that is that manure piled so it gets on a barn is that it holds moisture that rots the wood away quickly. Check with the experts at the WoodWeb drying board about the time and temperatures required to kill insects. Things like powder post beetles that can destroy any wood in your house can easily come in with the barn wood.
