I think all of us that have been around for a while used chlordane around the house for ants, etc from time to time. After all, it was legal and sold in stores.
I believe a concentrated application of it around the house in a trench now 20 years after it has been banned could raise a question. If it would have to be disclosed would depend on the area and regulations.
